Healthy Working Practices for All

Who Can Benefit from The Healthy Working Life Services?

Individuals

Any individual who performs any type of work role (paid or not) and who is seeking a healthy, rewarding work experience, in particular where:

  • Work is experienced as stressful, exhausting or unfulfilling.
  • A disproportionate amount of effort is exerted to achieve useful results, no matter how many tools or techniques are tried to improve matters.
  • Improvements are sought in work ‘performance’, real or perceived.
  • Different elements of work lack coherence, particularly as the business context changes over time.

In addition, anyone studying in preparation for work or who is currently without a work role but intends to enter the employment market, can benefit from the Healthy Working Life services.

Management

Anyone who fulfils a management role, in particular team or line management, especially where:

  • A team is not gelling, is “under-performing”, or where new teams are regularly formed, for example for specific assignments or projects.
  • A fresh perspective is sought on line management or supporting team members.

Managers seeking new insight into the potential of team working, in particular maximising the benefit of team diversity.

Organisations

Anyone who fulfils an HR function or has responsibility for enterprise-wide or departmental working practices, policies or ‘business’ outcomes.

  • Many of the symptoms of unhealthy and unsustainable working practices will become apparent via management reporting if appropriate measures and indicators are employed.

Interpretation of and response to changes in key indicators may be positive or detrimental to organisational health and well-being. Through delving into the consequences of different strategies, the Healthy Working Life approach facilitates decisions and policies that can deliver real competitive advantage.
